Seville Shaving Soap

Everyone has a different idea of what a barbershop ought to smell like, but we tend to lean historically for this kind of stuff. Giovanni Maria Farina famously created the very first Eau de Cologne in the early 1700s, and it was an instant success. His formula was prized by the royal courts, and was so highly regarded that it's still in production today. As a result of this popularity, Eau de Cologne fragrances have been staples in European barbershops for well over a hundred years.

While we don't claim to be as gifted as Signor Farina, our Seville scent is definitely in a class all its own. Affectionately dubbed "God's barbershop" by some of our more poetic customers, Seville is a blend of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, lavender, patchouli, and oakmoss. The name comes from the famous opera The Barber of Seville, but the scent is at home anywhere. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Great shaving soap

I'm a straight razor shaver of a couple decades who has mostly used Geo. F. Trumper shaving soaps. I gave B&M Seville soap a shot (via a recommendation on either Reddit or the forum-verse, I don't remember) and really like it. It gives a nice, cushiony, moisturizing lather, probably slightly more creamy than the Trumper soaps on the creamy-to-soapy scale. The fragrance is darker and more assertive than the floral-type shaving soap fragrances I'm used to. It has spicy notes and oakmoss-patchouli base notes that I like pretty well. But even as a fragrance connoisseur I haven't found it loud or obtrusive enough to be worried about it clashing with a standalone fragrance I might want to wear.

Great product

It is a very nice shaving soap. It goes on nicely and provides a thin layer between the blade and face for a close shave without irritation. I will definitely try other flavors of your shaving soap in the near future.
